Well hello there! Yet another week done and dusted. It's pretty surreal just how fast time seems to fly by. What's more, I'm nearly a third of the way through my degree already with year 1, for the most part, wrapped up. That is insane. It's very weird how quickly you become so close to people at university. I feel like I've known some of these people for way longer than six months, but I guess that's what happens when you spend literally every waking moment with each other. That makes it sound like it has been a nightmare — it's been great, just very hard to get your head around.
As you can imagine, with it being nearly the end of first year and all, my life has pretty much been deadline central. I've been trying to get as much done as possible before I go home on Wednesday morning, because I'm trying to limit how much I have to do over the Easter holidays, although I'm certain there is going to be an essay at the least to complete. It's been manic attempting to fit everything in. As pictured above, I've had to create a radio feature for my multimedia journalism module, which is actually very nearly finished, thank God. On top of that, I have some essays and evaluations to write. Fun times. Like I said last week though, I'll manage somehow.
This week I've also been singing along to the 'Frozen' soundtrack. A. Lot. My current favourite song is 'Love Is An Open Door'. I'm in desperate need of someone to do the male vocal with me. Applications for the role are open! I've also managed to stick to my weekly run. It felt a lot better than last time, though not by much. Still it is progress, which puts a massive smile on my face. I've also been doing sit ups before bed every night, and am currently in search of a workout video online to add that extra little bit of cardio into the mix.
What else do I have to say about this week? Hmm.. Oh! I did by debut radio show on our university's student radio with my fellow journalist, Keziah. We covered for two of our friends who's schedules were too busy with uni work to do it themselves. It was a lot of fun, although I definitely need to tone down my laugh —I'm talking seriously loud and sometimes a little screechy. That aside, I think it went okay for a first go, and it has gotten me all excited for second year when me and Keziah are hoping to do a specialist show together all about musical theatre. Musical theatre is cool.
What have you guys been up to this week? Has it been as manic as mine?
