I'm going to apologise in advance, because one) you might not be a cat person (in which case, what is wrong with you?!), and two) this is quite a photo orientated blog post. Would you believe that that there were over 100 photos of my visit to 'Lady Dinah's Cat Emporium' on my phone? Probably. I'm pretty cat crazed.
A brief walk from Shoreditch High Street tube station you can find London's first ever cat cafe, full of little fluffy dreams and delightful cake. Be sure to book in advance, though, because this place is a vortex for crazy cat ladies and men alike! Every 15 minutes, a few people are let in and are allowed to stay and play for up to two hours. I was informed that they give us this length of time (in comparison to other cat cafes) in order to allow us to catch glimpses of those cats and kitties who might be too sleepy to play at first.
There is an array of scrumptious food and drink available. I had a piece of their red velvet cake, which was absolutely gorgeous. The cream cheese icing in particular was heaven in my mouth. The staff are terrific! They are warm and welcoming, and are always free to stop for a chat about the feline residence. It was wonderful to learn about the characteristics of the different cats, and hear anecdotes about them. You can really tell the ladies at 'Lady Dinah' love what they're doing and are passionate about the well being of these beautiful creatures.
I had an absolutely amazing time at 'Lady Dinah's Cat Emporium' and I would highly recommend giving this place a visit. A £5 entry to spend two hours with these beautiful animals hardly seems like a lot at all. If you want to take time out from the busy city life, this is a great place to come and chill out for a bit, and pet a cute kitty! I cannot rave about 'Lady Dinah' enough. If you love cats and cake, it's a no brainer!
