As you may have noticed, last week I didn't do my usual weekly summary post. When it comes to blogging, I like to follow the consensus that if I don't feel like blogging then it is probably best for everyone that I don't. And last week, I did not feel as if I had anything particularly exciting to contribute, nor did I want to succumb to the pressure of getting something published for the sake of maintaining a routine. That's just not how things are going to be run here. I thought I'd just let you know and get that bit of admin out of the way.
Now onto my pretty boring week, which for some reason I do feel like writing about... My brain works in weird and mysterious ways — don't try to understand it. Last weekend was bank holiday, so I ended up going out on the Sunday with some school friends. Unsurprisingly, it was really great, because I saw some people I haven't seen since Christmas (shock horror!).
On Tuesday and Wednesday myself and my wonderful friend Hannah spent the day tracking down copies of the latest and final instalment of the 'The Mortal Instruments' series. It turned out they'd changed the release date from the 27th to the 28th for the UK because of the bank holiday, but we finally got our copies and it was all very exciting! I'm about halfway through and it's so good! I've been taking my time with this one, even though I'm fully capable of finishing it in a matter days if I wanted. I don't want the journey to end though, so slow and steady it is! Thankfully, like with the prequels, Cassandra Clare is writing a sequel series (and another one that comes between the current prequel and TMI... It's all very confusing and exciting in the shadowhunter world at the moment!!).
That pretty much sums up my week. It has definitely been a case of spending my time getting lost in fiction, which is perhaps my favourite thing in the world to do at this current timeever. And gawking at certain hot boy bands. Ya know, the usual.
