Sunday round-up #14

34

Hello one and all, this week has been a very exciting one for me! After much time spent nervously biting our nails and wondering if the possibility of being homeless for our second year of uni might in fact be possible, me and three of my chums have finally put a deposit down on a house. Yes, this beautiful town house with stunning picture windows is ours from August 9th and we are very excited about it! It's in such a prime location to our university (which is a real bonus because I am not a morning person at all), and I've bagged myself a really lovely room with a double bed!!

It was a pretty spontaneous viewing, meaning my train tickets cost over double what I usually pay to get a return to London (sob), but it was so worth it to finally say we know where we'll be living for the next twelve months. Yes, twelve months! The prospect of having somewhere to live from August to August fills me with real anticipation about things like getting summer internships and so on. Plus, I sort of just get a kick out of having made a real life adult decision, paying my way for my first ever house! I think second year is going to be a massive learning curve and a huge step forward into young adulthood, especially with finance and hopefully securing myself a part time job in London to cash in a bit of extra income. Second year is just brimming with exciting prospects, and I'm feeling very eager to get back to city life!

Moving on... (and making a smoooooth link with last weeks summary about getting back into my passions) Since starting my little writing project, I have written over 18,000 words! I'm feeling very proud of my achievement, and also content floating around in this little creative bubble. It's very cosy,— you should all get one.

How have your weeks been? Any adult decisions to be made?
