Hello one and all! No, I didn't die. Yes, I did disappear from the World Wide Web for a little while, apart from the odd poking my head around the door just to check how you were all doing. It's pretty appalling I know, but — to put it simply — life has been a tad on the hectic side. The kind of hectic that doesn't allow for writing on this here blog, or even sufficient time to kickstart the old brain and think up weird and wonderful posts for your eyes to gorge themselves on. (That's what working in a supermarket, almost every day, without fail, does to a girl.)
But I am back and with a vengeance! Incidentally, I am also back in London Town, ready and raring to give second year my best shot. Hopefully being back in the Big Smoke will inspire me. If nothing else, expect some posts all about my sweet new crib (yep, bet you didn't think I could be anymore of a loser) and all that decor stuff. As of yet, my room is still in great need of some sprucing up; it's quite a big space that needs filling, so I'm holding out for a visit to Ikea to purchase a little bookshelf and really adult things like that. (In other news, I'm still freaking out about my looming twentieth birthday.)
As for my life lately? Well — aside from working my butt off earning extra cash — I spent Sunday, my last day at home, at a family gathering, which is a pretty perfect way to end the summer holidays I think. There was lots of cuddling with my little munchkin of a niece and hanging with my siblings (well, my sisters — the broseph was not there).
On Monday I departed from Bath (with a wobbly chin and tears in my eyes, because my sister and niece were on the platform waving me off and that's going to pull on anyone's heartstrings), and spent a really lovely first evening with one of my roomies, Sophie. Her, and my two favourite men, Ben and Jerry — as well as a delicious glass of wine (or two) — and our girl Bridget.
That's my life lately! I'll be seeing you soon (and that's sooner than by my usual standards, believe me this time... maybe.)
