The one thing about turning into an adult — that doesn't absolutely scare the living daylights out of me — is the thought of one day getting mortgage and moving into a house, and having complete artistic licence over colour schemes and furniture. And what better way to prepare myself than the blank canvas that was my bedroom in my second year house? I really enjoyed the challenge of making halls cosy and a place I'd want to hang out in (because that was what happened 99% of the time) and I think I succeeded in doing that. And, I hope you'll agree, that my room this year isn't looking too shabby either.
Aside from needing a few bits and pieces to organise my desk, I think I'm pretty much there with decking out my university room. I really love the space, although I'm so glad I got the bookcase because it felt very empty before hand. (Special thanks to Sophie for providing muscle power with that one.) Something not depicted in this post is just how in love I am with the windows in this house. They are so gorgeous and let in so much light — a novelty I don't have in my room back at home, although that's warm and lovely in its own right. And lets face it, you know what good lighting makes for? Yep, blog posts! (But don't hold your breath, we all know I'm the worst blogger to ever exist...)
Are you at university? If so, how's that going? Is your room fabulous?
