My blog is officially just over a week old and I'm already getting so much satisfaction out of writing in this little space. I'd like to thank those of you who've already joined my new blogging journey.
This week has been pretty uneventful, but purely because we've been having the perfect weather to laze around in, soaking up the sun. In all honesty, I've also not been at my best drawing to the end of the week. But I'm striving to fix that. It has meant missing out on a few bits and bobs, but I think I needed a little me time to think things over and rejuvenate. I'll get there.
I'm hoping you've all been having glorious weather too. That has probably been the highlight of my week — hence mentioning it twice. It is finally starting to feel like spring, which is a little bit of a shock to the system, considering it has felt like we've been living in a monsoon the past few months. But the sun has continued to grace us with its presence, and it's been weirdly nostalgic.
Everyone migrated to the field opposite our halls after they'd finished with their lectures and seminars for the day. People were playing frisbee, drinking cider warmed by the sun, and one guy even brought out his decks at one point — a perk of attending an artsy fartsy campus. (Find my playlist here!) It reminded me a lot of free periods and lunchtimes in sixth form when our common room would be eerily empty, because we'd all gone sun mad. As the Boots advert often suggests, us Brits go mad for one gleam of sun.
I hope you all had a great week, let me know some of your highlights and music jams for the summer!
