Sunday round-up #4

34

April is officially upon us and I'm finally back in the comfort of my own home. To say I am in love with my bed would be an understatement — my pillows at university just haven't gotten the shape of my head down yet.

There is now just two deadlines between myself and the end of Year 1. That, and a few weeks of workshops at university that aren't compulsory (so we all know I'm probably not going to stay right until the end of my tenancy...). I completed my radio feature (listen here), which I talked about in last week's summary, and have — perhaps more importantly — got my new phone. Yes, it is a rectangle of lemony yellow, high resolution beautifulness. As well as being in love with my bed, I'm also in love with my phone. You say materialistic, I say appreciative of nice things. (Disclaimer — obviously I love important things like my family and friends, I'm not that stupid!)

On Wednesday morning I made the journey from London to Bath, and have been enjoying a relaxed few days with family — whilst also trying to tackle essays, of course. On Thursday evening, we went to a place that does a steak night and I was presented with this glorious meal. My taste buds did a little jig, which is honestly not far from the truth. Looking at the picture still makes me drool. A lot. I'm also pretty amazed at the quality of the picture; new phone perks!

Aside from glorious food, which I didn't have to make myself (hallelujah), my week has not been hugely eventful, but in the most wonderful way possible. Just being home, surrounded by family is good enough for me. For the first few days anyway. When my wonderful accas return from university ('Pitch Perfect' reference for any of you dweebs who have not basked in the awesomeness that is that film), we are definitely scheduling in a few wild nights out. I cannot wait for the reunion. I definitely love how much more appreciative and thankful the university experience has made me. You come to realise just how important people are to you, and just how much you took them for granted before.
P.S As you may have read a few posts ago, I'm partaking in the #100happydays challenge over on my instagram. Today marks my first full week capturing the things in life that put a smile on my face, so feel free to check it out and get involved.
